Allergy Season


Hello Spring and hello allergies.

The grasses are tall, the plants are reaching potency and bloom and the pollen is flowing through the air. Some of you may be experiencing allergy symptoms like headaches, running nose, itchy eyes and you may be curious about trying some natural remedies for your allergies.

Here are a few tips to help with your allergy symptoms:

  • Neti pot with warm salt water every other day. The neti pot will clear the sinuses and open up any pressure in the face.

  • Nasya oil every morning, 2-3 drops in each nostril using the pinky finger to apply and lay the head back for 1 minute. This will help prevent allergens from entering all the way up the sinuses, it also is lubricating to any dryness you may be experiencing from the wind.

  • Eat more leafy greens and vegetables. Spring is the most potent time of the year for fresh herbs, check what local and seasonal produce is abundant in your area.

  • Drink ginger, peppermint, licorice tea daily to help with digestion, our digestion is directly related to our immunity and when our immune system is strong it can help defend against allergies.
